Audience Member This PBS production has some very pleasing acting, with a great turn by Max Schell, and some wonderful music to listen to... though the Willa Cather novel its based on leads the way to a brilliant woman alone but triumphant in her art... does that really happen with one or two sad romances? Anyway, it's fun especially for the aspiring from the backwoods, and very emotional, and almost always a pleasure to watch.
