Als es in einem kleinen Bergdorf zu gewaltsamen und grausamen Todesfällen kommt, taucht eine alte Legende über eine bösartige Kreatur wieder auf. Der Film ist zweifellos einer der eindringlichsten, verblüffendsten und albtraumhaften Folklore/Mystery-Filme, der jemals auf Art eines Psycho-Thrillers gedreht wurden.

Clearly inspired by the wonderful Austrian series PAGAN PEAK, this movie manages to get you hooked for almost the whole running time because of its staggering reality … and then - as we’re used to just so often - goes off the rails, overdoing it completely, suddenly reality gives in to spectacle and fantasy. Please directors: do one thing or the other! Do „Silence of the Lambs“ or do „Pan‘s Labyrinth“. Bit do not mix it incoherently.
