Julian M What happened here? I feel like everything just went away this was definitely the biggest downfall I’ve ever seen, and it hasn’t gotten much better this was the same issue I also had with the sandy cheeks movie released I think by far this is the worst SpongeBob movie yes, I’m thinking of a movie worse than the sandy cheeks movie. I know really hard to think of for someone who doesn’t watch too many movies I feel like the same thing is gonna start happening to anything else Nickelodeon makes Nickelodeon should have its own rotten tomatoes page just to show you what people really think of Nickelodeon not just it shows but the thing itself it shows freedom. It shows the freedom of everything and it leads to things. Nickelodeon probably won’t take that because it destroys whatever image they think they have so what do I think this movie shouldn’t have existed and it should have just ended at the first movie without any more episodes or the second movie without any more episodes. The writing could be better, though this is true with all of modern SpongeBob episodes and the such. It as a cute and impressive art style with great fast paced visual gags. However, the humor overall is pretty hit-or-miss. The Keanu Reeves sage tumbleweed was funny, but arguably dragged out too long and appeared in way more scenes than I expected. I appreciate that SpongeBob and Patrick aren't too dumb this time around, but it can lead to some weird scenes where they turn into tricks for the sake of a long 4th wall joke about buddy comedy tropes, without much of a payoff. The movie's plot feels a bit too familiar to the first movie and "Have You Seen This Snail?" I appreciate all the side characters getting involved in the climax. However, the Camp Coral retcon for how everyone met is dumb, and just serves as a shallow pilot to set up a spinoff TV show. It's easily the weakest of the first 3 SpongeBob movies.
