kevin w If celebrities are the friends we never had (except in our own minds) then this short is a interesting look into the past to see who it was that our grandparents and great-grandparents thought of as friends, and into the particular cult of celebrity of those times. There is literally no story here, only a pretense to trot out the celebs for fans to recognize. Still, challenge yourselves, fans of classic Hollywood, to see if you can recognize the stars before they own up and tell you (which they have to do with some - a comment itself on the brief nature of fame). Only Coop looks embarrassed by the attention in my estimation. And Fay Wray with dark hair! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member The plethora of talent on show here makes this 20 or so minutes short film more of a curio than a classic, as the storyline is a somewhat dull. Most of the big names are only on show for a short time as well, but it's still an interesting enough piece of Hollywood history. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member Although this movie has a terrible story, it is interesting to watch for all the stars that are packed into it. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member A great Comedy about some Stolen Jools starring a 30's All Star Team Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Fantastic short film with just about every big star from 1931. It was a charity short film and fascinating to watch, just to catch a glimpse of all the big names. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
