Joe Lipsett Anatomy of a Scream Podcast Network A Lifetime film without the Lifetime label, this ode to 90s thrillers is the perfect antidote to modern life. Plastic people in beautiful homes with utterly ridiculous problems. It's amazing. Rated: 3.5/5 Sep 3, 2025 Full Review Ian Bunting Daily Record (UK) Campy, cheap and sorely lacking in consistency, The Stranger in My Home is best left on the doorstep rather than being invited into your viewing life. Sep 2, 2025 Full Review Surya Komal Just for Movie Freaks The Stranger in My Home is a thoroughly enjoyable and a well-executed thriller. With its compelling premise, strong performances, it offers a unique twist on domestic suspense and makes for a rewarding watch. Rated: 3.5/5 Jun 17, 2025 Full Review Read all reviews

Jerod S There's not actually a stranger in the house - but there is a deranged man running a long game to be with a woman and her daughter that uses a cancer test to make it happen. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 08/22/25 Full Review sam g From the very first scene to the final credits, I was completely hooked—this film is an electrifying rollercoaster that never lets up! Every moment pulses with anticipation, keeping you glued to the screen, while unexpected bursts of laughter lighten the suspense and make the ride even more exhilarating. The performances are nothing short of brilliant; each actor brings a spark to their role, but the chemistry between Chris Carmack and Sophia Bush is absolutely magnetic. Watching them together is like witnessing cinematic fireworks—dynamic, unpredictable, and utterly captivating. What truly sets this movie apart is the storytelling. Just when you think you have everything figured out, the plot takes a sharp turn and barrels off in a whole new direction, keeping you guessing at every corner. It’s a masterclass in misdirection, weaving tension and surprise into every scene. And then there’s Amiah Miller—she completely steals each scene she's in. Her presence is powerful, her performance nuanced, and it’s clear this film marks her arrival as a genuine star on the rise. I don’t typically write reviews, but this movie demanded it. I was so thoroughly entertained that I simply had to share my excitement. If you’re looking for a film that thrills, surprises, and lingers in your mind long after you’ve watched it, don’t miss The Stranger in My Home. Trust me—you’ll be talking about it for days. Consider this your official invitation to enjoy one of the year’s must-see movies. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/19/25 Full Review Jess R Horrible…don’t waste your time or money…Terrible acting Rated 1 out of 5 stars 08/17/25 Full Review inta k So boring and predictable. Acting was pretty poor as well Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/10/25 Full Review Brian K If you’re thinking about watching this movie, don’t. Count some ceiling tiles or watch paint dry, it would be a better use of your time. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/18/25 Full Review Erin S I am absolutely NOT biased at all but this movie was so well done! It was thrilling and horrifying at times but also lighthearted and had so many moments where I was cracking up. I loved the throwback style of the film and the nostalgia was played into nicely by the choices the actors made. The stars of the film, Sophia Bush and Chris Carmack were my absolute highlight and its obvious their versatile and ingenious acting could shine in any genre of film, but this was so fun, especially since it's such a huge change from what we all know them from. They are still every bit as beautiful as they were in their teenage dramas, but now with gravitas - I could watch them all day! And the director Jeff Fisher did an amazing job bringing it all to life. Don't sleep on the crazy twists and turns of The Stranger in my Home!
