Nancy M The writing and direction aren't as good as hoped, but the story is heartwarming and the cast does as well as it can with what it has. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/11/24 Full Review Audience Member A Dad tries to rekindle his relationship with his bratty son. Dad takes his son camping with some of his friends. The friends and sons relentlessly bully and harass the Dad. The Dad takes the bullying with grace despite the children being total brats. They set up camp and the Dad gets struck by lightning and momentarily dies. Dad comes back to life. Children stop bullying him. There's a dog?? It dies by being struck by lightning. The dog doesn't really play a large role in this movie. The son realizes he was being a brat because his Dad almost died while on a camping trip. The end. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Its the best movie i have seen.... specially because its based on a true story, very emotional but i love it❀ Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member It was a nice family movie based on a true story, but, I thought the story could have been developed a bit more Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Just because something is a true story doesn't mean it needs to be a movie. Horrible acting, bad directing and the dog dies in the end. Why would anyone ever want to watch this? And why did they not go to the hospital or even go up to the front door and tell the other kids' parents that they were struck by lighting and maybe you should get that checked out? Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member My son liked it well enough. It was a pretty average Mormon feel-good family kinda film.
