The movie claims to be based on true events. However, other than the moniker of the two cops, I can't imagine any cops or criminals actually behaving as depicted in this movie. That being said, as a comedy, it is a somewhat entertaining movie.

Horribly miscast film. Ron Liebman overacts and David Selby under-delivers. Film is based on real-life cops who appear in a couple of scenes and they deliver better performances than the pros. Fortunately, legendary artist Gordon Parks directs.

This zany crime flick (oddly based on a true story) is not only super fun, but super influential to others in the genre. We wouldn't have our Untouchables or 21 Jumpstreets without the Super Cops.
