Shelia This movie is ALL action!!! Great acting. Kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. The characters Savage and Bones were fantastic. Ruthless!!! You must pay close attention. I want to see it again. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/06/22 Full Review Mrs. M. Smith Tyrese, Terrance and Jeremy are pivoting actors! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed watching them!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/30/22 Full Review Christopher G To be honest, it's grit and violent from the jump. It literally has no authentic feel about it. C'mon!! Guards in the chow hall with guns. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 09/15/23 Full Review Key Key W I've found that with rotten tomatoes... The better movies seem to get lower scores ... while the really bad ones get higher scores. The movie is actually really good. The storyline is believeable and the end message is heart felt. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/28/23 Full Review Ronald S This was poorly produced. No research was conducted at all. Unrealistic trap house as well as the prison system. If it wasn't for professional actors, I wouldnt have made it through this movie. By the way, protective vest aren't bullet proof and guards don't carry guns inside. Damn Wtf Rated 1 out of 5 stars 08/16/23 Full Review prawnda s they clearly hired literally anyone who applied for the job to be an extra. if you can laugh at the production values a little, it's pretty reasonable to watch though. lil yachty isn't the most talented actor in the world, but he's much better than a lot of other musicians-turned-actors, and he was a welcome presence in the otherwise cheaply put together cast. i have to take some points off because frankly there are a lot of racist stereotypes going on here, and i think that the film leans a little too heavily into the power fantasies of the white male warden. there's also just a midget in the movie for no reason whatsoever but as a novelty, and he has zero lines, which would have been considered distasteful even a decade before the film's release. i found the film fun at first, but it is just too poorly written, acted, and directed to enjoy watching all of it. some of the cast has been in other projects where they did great jobs, but i think they just kept every single take besides the choreography in this one. Jeffrey M. Anderson Common Sense Media Ranging from preachy to lazy to flat-out ridiculous, this prison-fight drama benefits from committed work by Gibson and Howard, but they can't overcome saggy storytelling and uninspired filmmaking. Nov 11, 2022 Full Review Aprillé Morris OffColour.org Most of us know that the prison system is nothing more than modern-day slavery. The cast of The System seeks to shine a light on prisons in this new film. Rated: 3/5 Nov 4, 2022 Full Review Joel Copling Spectrum Culture Here is an aggressively mediocre action thriller, which does precisely nothing interesting with its barely existent premise.
