Computer programmer Webster McGee (Ryan O'Neal) is so bored at his job that he begins a sideline career as a thief. When he steals incriminating documents from a local tycoon named Henderling (Charles Cioffi), Webster blackmails his victim into helping him up the social ladder. Soon he finds himself hobnobbing with the fast set and falling in love with with a beautiful socialite (Jacqueline Bisset). Everything would be great if a dogged insurance investigator (Warren Oates) weren't on to him.

There's nothing in this movie to kindle an audience's spirit. It's a cold-hearted movie. Go to Full Review

See more 08/26/2015 The film is silly and irrelevant, but Ryan O'Neal was so easy on the eyes and charming in his acting and delivery that it's still fun to watch. His pairing with Jacqueline Bisset makes it even more so. This film is pure 60s/70s fluff, and that's just enough sometime. See more 12/22/2014 Good pace enough to keep watching. Never get into a game of Cat And Mouse with Warren Oates! See more Read all reviews
