May Leitz Nyx Fears I was pleasantly surprised by this movie mostly because it was kind of minimalist in ways that most found-footage - and I have seen most of them - simply are not. Nov 15, 2019 Full Review C.H. Newell Father Son Holy Gore Perhaps why The Tunnel is so effective is because it takes on a real world issue, crafting an interesting plot within that familiar story constructed as a news exposé. Rated: 4/5 May 1, 2019 Full Review Steve Newton Georgia Straight When scary s--- happens, the terror sticks with you because you're never shown enough to be certain of anything. Rated: 3.5/5 Feb 15, 2013 Full Review Jeremy Heilman MovieMartyr.com [It] might sound like a mundane retread of recent creature features such as Creep or The Descent, but it manages to be something a bit more haunting in practice. Rated: 60/100 Aug 9, 2012 Full Review Scott Weinberg FEARnet Not a bad effort for a mini-budgeted fan-funded horror project. Rated: 3/5 Sep 5, 2011 Full Review Tim Martain The Mercury (Australia) The audience is teased with fleeting glimpses of the threat lurking in the shadows and its first real appearance is played so well it is a thing of horror poetry. Julian S Easily one of the worst found footage movies I’ve ever watched. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 10/19/24 Full Review Aaron D It starts off with a captivating crew with entertaining chemistry, then takes a hard nose dive when the first member of the cast meets an untimely end and panic sets in. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 10/04/24 Full Review David R Was sceptical after reading "found footage" movie. Thoughts of those annoyingly shaky "Blair Witch" shots were quickly assauged when "The Tunnel" started rolling. It really drew me in so that I was tense and anxious when they tried to escape from whatever the hell was down there. Well done. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/01/24 Full Review Jack S This unremarkable found-footage effort does manage to inspire claustrophobic feelings in a few brief tunnel scenes. However, it takes too long to get there; it’s never very imaginative nor particularly scary, and even at a mere 94 minutes it seems overlong. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 08/27/24 Full Review Beau K Probably the worst movie I have ever seen in my life and I have watched many bad movies. The idea of cutting back and forth between footage and interviews gets real stale quick and hence zero tension in the movie. Terrible acting too. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 06/29/24 Full Review Thomas B This movie was pathetic. Lots of panic, hysterical reactionary actions, hyperventilating, all coupled with poor camera quality. The lady is the worst of the group with an absolutely useless demeanor and idiotic actions. I had a hard time watching the movie until the end due to how idiotic she behaved, even down to the end apparently never trained in first aid or CPR. I know 7 year old girls that have more intestinal fortitude than that character. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 12/19/23 Full Review Read all reviews
