Alex McLevy AV Club For those who fondly remember all the time spent hanging out at The Peach Pit, Lifetime's latest made-for-TV movie equivalent of Behind The Music will find a shameless treat, aimed straight at their nostalgia nerve centers. Rated: B Oct 5, 2015 Full Review Melissa Camacho Common Sense Media Revisit famous zip code in cheesy but fun special. Rated: 3/5 Oct 13, 2015 Full Review Rob Owen Pittsburgh Post-Gazette No one will confuse these behind-the-scenes movies with good TV but there's some high-calorie entertainment value to be had in this low-rent pastiche of TV nostalgia. victor o Like most people who grew up in the 1990s, I recognized that the FOX network had produced a TV series that had become uber-popular with a cast of young men and women that ended up making them household names. Tabloids that ended up catching some of the more sordid details from each performer to the production that made it. Beverly Hills, 90210 was an amazing show. These Lifetime Unauthorized movies have shown some splendid stories before like Saved by the Bell and this one is plenty interesting. Aaron Spelling in the 1990s created a drama that set up the lives of a midwestern family living in the sunnier and more high-end lifestyle of Beverly Hills. His daughter Tori and an assorted group of young men and women, from Brian Austin Green, Luke Perry, Ian Ziering, Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth, and Shannon Doherty made the show possible. From filming next to a studio that produced porn to the notorious personalities of many other performers are retold in this movie up to the final run with the original cast. Though the show would continue beyond that for several more seasons. I got to say it was nostalgic seeing certain things appear in this movie, I was also amazed by things. I never knew that Ian Ziering's name was pronounced differently, Eye-an instead of Ee-an. I was plenty familiar with Shannon's difficult personality. I never knew but always suspected Aaron had some difficulty accepting his little girl doing passionate romance scenes. This was plenty entertaining and enlightening but one should always take this with a grain of salt. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member The show had ten seasons, so it is pathetic that this superficial, poorly-made and fan-made-looking tabloid flick focuses only on the first four, even if it can be amusing and the actresses who play Shannen and Jennie bear an incredible resemblance to their real-life counterparts. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Everyone looks so much like the real cast its almost funny. They even sound like them and talk like them. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member Interesting, but Lifetime movies aren't done very well. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Actually not bad compared to the Full House and Saved by the Bell one! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Read all reviews
