Audience Member (Int. Therapist Office) Therapist: You were happy last week. Urainia: You and I know I don't fit the DSM-5 role of manic depression, no matter how thrilling a novel that thing is for insane people to read. Therapist: How are you feeling? Urainia: Pretty f'ing sad, I must say. I come into these little networks working for the TVA- Therapist: TVA? Urainia: It's a concept. Timelines. Loki. Television. Wanda-Vision. Disnified universes (waves hands around) You know...these things. I work for these things when I come in contact with webs and I crawl around like a little spider weaving their myths with opinion or bullshit. Therapist: Bullshit? Urainia: Bullshit is very entertaining you know. The TVA is very into bullshit and tent-pole titles. Therapist: I'm still not sure I understand- Urainia: It's a unified mythical consciousness many can tap into. It creates a map of symbols so humanity can quickly assess emotions, themes, histories, myths- Therapist: And you help this TVA? Urainia: I actually had a job at the official TVA. It's a cushy gig. Donuts all day long. Therapist: Donuts? Urainia: I f'in hate donuts now. Therapist: Sure. They're not good for you. Urainia: Neither is the TVA. Although like any agency, it's both helpful and harmful. It's not a scary thing. Does it manipulate psychology in an almost hypnotic way? Yeah. You should really look into, Doc. Human to human hypnosis has nothing on Film and Television and Radio. Therapist: That's an interesting idea I'll have to think about. Urainia: You do that. Therapist: How do you help the TVA again? Urainia: I talk about their bullshit. But, no matter what I try to do, I go into these webs working for the TVA, but when I come out I'm working for Urainia. And then we both get very depressed. Therapist: You both? Urainia: Urainia is my higher self. My lower self is an actor for the TVA. Therapist: Why do you both get depressed? Urainia: Because she remembers the truth, and I've seen the truth, and we both are very upset by the truth once it outshines the Timeshare of the TVA. Therapist: The truth is upsetting to you? Urainia: Very. Even though it's common knowledge people acting like the good are often not, especially when they have access to a massive medium of light and sound. Therapist: How do you know they're not good? Urainia: I don't. Good and Evil are TVA concepts. It doesn't matter in relation to what Urainia and I feel. Therapist: And how do you feel? Urainia: (cries/pauses/laughs) To quote the TVA (sings) "No Body knows the trouble I've seen! No Body knows my sorrow..." Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member An interesting, conversational documentary told by Mulholland about his family and their links with racism and slavery in America. Mostly, he presents the case of how impactful his mother's core beliefs were in shaping what he makes of his family members and their choices, as well as how he has come to understand his position as he continues to learn more about institutional racism Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member A difficult and hard must see movie. I will watch this again to make sure that I "see" all of it. It should be required viewing for middle school and older children. All churches should show this movie. In order to do better, we must know more than the "sanitized" version of our history. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Read all reviews
