Emilie Black Cinema Crazed Thankfully, the cast sells the story and that twist making it work for the film as a whole. Rated: 3/5 Apr 19, 2020 Full Review Andrew Winter Film Inquiry The Unraveling has a strong premise and could have been a refreshingly unusual take on an overstuffed sub-genre. Sadly, the film's execution is lackluster. Aug 30, 2018 Full Review Kat Hughes THN The Unraveling is a great feature debut. Although set out in the wilderness, this is a film that manages to convey an oddly claustrophobic atmosphere. Rated: 3/5 Aug 30, 2018 Full Review Animal Johns Starburst Seasoned horror fans might be able to figure out where it's going before the third act, but Jakobsen and the cast handle everything so well that it's still a thrill ride getting there. michael v I loved the plot/theme. And that gets bonus points for being "different". Nice twist. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Ironcity418 As a recovering addict, battling for decades, after first camping incident I knew what was going on. It wasn't bad cause I can relate but wasn't good cause just meh. As for doing this to addicts in real life, I'd say it depends on the person. This is extreme, can help or not as anything. The key I found to the door I wanted, it was to be mentally sober or mentally balanced. Sounds so simple but I couldn't find it for the life of me when I got lost. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 12/02/22 Full Review Audience Member It was fine, but didn't didn't have any true thrill or terror. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member I'm not one for the horror genre, especially with its reliance on gore and awful acting but this film is one of the better horrors of the few I've seen. All round it is an excellent movie that leaves a lingering feeling of dread with a surprising ending! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member The plot is original and very interesting to follow, however it is also relatively straightforward which does take some of the suspense away closer to the credits. Yet, it is shot and edited with a surgeon's precision, it is genuinely suspenseful.and doesn't follow the normal horror path. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Really great mystery/suspense film until the final reveal!!! What a letdown. Actors are very good, keeps you guessing. Worth a watch.
