Thomas U Una película que desperdicia la historia en la cual está basada, pero de manera significativa. Es aburrida, convencional, y posee un guion terrible. "The Utah Cabin Murders" es una propuesta mal ejecutada en todo sentido, desaprovechando el potencial de un suceso real, pero que acá no es convincente y te deja pensando si realmente se tomaron en serio el trabajo. El director y guionista Andrew Jones realizó una labor pírrica, sobre todo en ese guion. Súper debatible. La película no te aporta nada más que sueño. La interpretaciones, los acontecimientos, los giros de trama, el contexto, el argumento narrativo, los efectos, la musicalización y más son ejecutados de forma fatal. Tanto es así que entras en esa disyuntiva del por qué estás viendo tal cosa. No existe conexión entre el reparto, no se visualiza y tampoco logras tener empatía con algún personaje. Solamente destaco algunas secuencias donde por pocos segundos el enfoque de cámara sobresale, repito, por segundos. También el diseño de las máscaras, aunque en el póster oficial estén otras, detalles. Aunado a ello, esos mensajes reflexivos que aunque son superficiales y mal ejecutados, tienen un valor dentro de lo que se plasma en la película. Temas como el nexo familiar, la relación padre/hijo, la religión, la falta de seguridad, las personas psicópatas, y el nivel que puede alcanzar el ser humano mediante la estupidez. Sin duda alguna es una de las peores cintas del 2019. Quality- the editing was ASS,they were clearly using clips from other scenes also the slow motion in the flashbacks were so choppy I wanted to cry 3. Setting- why was the whole movie only happening in the cabin? The mother and grandma and the main bad guy has to be the worst actors I have seen on screen. I had to fast forward it a few times because the acting was so bad.
