Audience Member A nice trifle of a moderate budget romantic comedy; attempts puzzle you to the end but the obvious payoff does satisfy despite clumsiness. A guilty pleasure Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Frances H Cute romcom with an engaging cast. Worth a watch! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/23/18 Full Review Audience Member Pleasant enough (if implausible) romcom. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member It was surprisingly fresh for a romantic comedy, though it fell into the trap that I find a lot of romances fall into: there was nothing admirable about any of the characters. I can't care for characters that don't have any redeeming qualities that make me believe they like each other. "Love at first sight" is too simple of a cop-out. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member We all know that RomCom is among the most convention-driven genres, being that most of the plots can be tied to one of Jane Austen's novels. This film is a rare exception. Instead of being entirely from the woman's perspective, it lends fairly equal treatment to its four major characters. Using nonlinear storytelling, it presents a series of farcical meetings and mixups that would not be out of place in a Shakespearean play. I cannot emphasize enough that it is strongly playing on FARCE, so don't take it too seriously, and you'll have a good time. I think it is one of the best romantic Comedies in existence. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member This is a very enjoyable film; the characters are likable and the non-linear storytelling is entertaining rather than annoying. Its main fault is the ending, which is far too rushed. Enjoyed the score, too. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
