Jeannette Catsoulis New York Times Ms. Sevigny is the unsteady center of a movie that uses awkward silences, cryptic dialogue and self-consciously arty images to signify emotional limbo. Jan 30, 2014 Full Review Sara Stewart New York Post The dialogue is so vague, and the plot so minimal, it all feels like a rather pointless exercise. Rated: 1.5/4 Jan 30, 2014 Full Review Annlee Ellingson Los Angeles Times Questions mount and answers are slim, distracted by a score that veers from synth to symphonic. Jan 30, 2014 Full Review Nicholas Bell IONCINEMA.com The type of gem you trot out when you want to share something offbeat and intelligent. Rated: 3/5 Aug 29, 2019 Full Review Amanda Waltz The Film Stage Visually, Blash does a excellent job portraying the character's quiet desperation, even if the symbolism sometimes verges on the obvious. Rated: C+ Jun 21, 2016 Full Review Mike D'Angelo The Dissolve When the climax finally arrives, it's a deliberate damp squib. Rated: 2.0/5 Feb 6, 2014 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member I don't know what I have just watched, It was gorgeous to look at, but difficult to comprehend. This movie was horrible and I did not liked it. With horrible boring dialogue scenes and worst acting that I have seen from Jena Malone. I did not like this film at all. So as that being said, for this being one film that lost my interest and just felt nothing at the end and felt it was a waste of time at the end. I give " The Wait " an F. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Raven D Everything that`s wrong with too many "indie" movies. Irrational, absurd behavior/choices from the characters, weird, robotic dialogue that sounds like aliens in human suits talking to each other, artsy, lingering, predictable shots of nature and the back of people`s heads, and generally pretentious. Only watched 1 hour but doubt it can get better if the rest is anything like it. Will edit once I catch it again on tv. What a waste of 2 great actresses. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 05/07/17 Full Review Audience Member this is a bizarre movie that like a car crash on the highway, I couldn't stop looking but spoiler alert-shitty ending Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member A pointless message and no actual clear story behind the movie. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member I have seen thousands of films in my life, and this is quite possibly the worst one. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member Completely engrossing. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Read all reviews
