The sense of relatability built up by the slightly exaggerated, highly charged family issues in the first hour or so gets lost amidst the contrived, gruesome melodrama that follows.

The strong regional accents added a nice touch of authenticity, and the performances were solid across the board. The story, however, felt quite predictable and didn’t offer many surprises. Still, it managed to hold my attention and remained an engaging watch overall.
