Jeff S Some entertaining action and intriguing interaction between Hickok and Chief Crazy Horse, stripped of his title and given the name Worm until he can claim vengeance against a horrible beast that ravaged his people and also continues to haunt Hickok in his sleep. This shared foe brings together two enemies, at least temporarily. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/12/24 Full Review Aaron F This is one of my favorite movies. It will give you a whole new vocabulary of funny old English phrases. It is heart wrenching and exiting to fully involve yourself in this movie. This movie is a hidden gem. Please watch it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/11/22 Full Review Audience Member 70s Western fare that is bigger than life. If you love the tales of the old West with great historical names and legendary cast members, you will love this movie. A Fun ride! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member A mythic movie (not in fact) in which the White Buffalo is rarely seen and that magnified the impact of it as a Monster. The movies suggests a sort of personal mystic journey into facing and slaying our fears. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Pretty awesome western with a touch of horror element in there, has Bronson as Wild Bill hunting a legendary killer Buffalo. Like Captain Ahab this thing haunts him. Aside from some wonky animatronics at times, it was pretty damn effective. Had lots of fun. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Atypical Western is filled with mood and crackling dialogue that keeps you coming back for another listen. Bronson leads a list of Western stalwarts in a spooky hunt for the titular white buffalo (designed by Carlo Rambaldi) that is part Western, part horror movie, with some potent psychological undertones. Bronson turns in a stellar turn as the driven Wild Bill Hickok, with able support from Jack Warden. John Barry's score adds plenty of atmosphere. The movie's weird mystical vibe may turn off most general Western fans, but for those looking for a little something different, this movie is worth checking out.
