Embittered ex-NFL pro Tom Kupfen (Anthony Quinn) has taken to hanging with a group of go-nowhere beatniks, including good-schoolgirl-gone-bad Honey (Kathryn Grant), hopped-up jazz musician Kicks Johnson (Nehemiah Persoff) and ticking time bomb Gage Freeposter (Jay Robinson). Together they drink, dabble in drugs and commit just enough petty thefts to support their lurid lifestyle.
