Audience Member just awful so called drama. TERRIBLE acting from the entire cast, inept direction, muddy cinematography. A cheap jack production all the way! Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member WTF??!! This movie is bad when you see a bunch of old butch white male wearing leather chaps at a funeral. And what the fuck was with those miserable count-by-the-fingers homo protesters? Seriously I cannot even get past the halfway mark without feeling retched in my throat. It was the most disgusting piece of a gay crap movie I have ever seen. Period. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Film un peu amateur. Histoire simple. Jeu des acteurs agreable. A voir, si il n'y a rien d'autre. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member Horrendous in every way. When B. Ruby Rich said that New Queer Cinema was over, this is the sh*t she was talking about. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Hilarious comedy about the absurdity and hypocrisy of the religious right's "agenda" :) against gays in a small Texas town called Liberty Hills. Although funny and hilarious, this admittedly small budget film could have spent just a little more time in the edit room. Some parts seem more realistic than others and that is because, especially the beginning funeral scene, had a deeper meaning for writer/director Paul Bright. It was actually a true memorial to his late partner Tim Jones who had worked with him on this film. In fact, he changed the script after his partner's death. There is an approximate 10 minute segment in the middle that is very hard to follow. I could not figure out whether the main character Guy, played by Mathew Burnett, was dreaming, wishing, or the events actually were taking place and the editing was out of place. Giving this 3 stars gives the Writer the benefit of the doubt. Also, I din't want the reputation of being one of his "bitter queens with an axe to grind." It also gets 3 stars due to it looks like all the cast had a great time making this very low budget film. If you like "drag queen" comedy, a decent story line (that could have been fleshed out just a little bit more), and love seeing Bible Thumpers getting cought with their pants down, you will enjoy this flick!
