It doesn't reinvent the wheel, but There's No Such Thing As Vampires presents some interesting ideas. It's when it highlights the creature or the road movie tropes that it succeeds but loses its footing in between.

It's like an awesome spooky campfire story. Maximum effort on a low-budget. The actors are hot AND really dedicated to their craft. What else? Oh yeah: seriously tight camera work; smart unpretentious script (restrained-right-to-the-edge-of-camp), but best of all -- the synth-based sound track features~~~ NINA (nee Boldt) !!!!!!!!
