Jason (Terry Chen) and his wife, Sarah (Jaime King), leave their adopted home of Shanghai and travel to Vancouver, British Columbia, for his uncle's funeral, staying with his Aunt Mei (Pei-pei Cheng). Already disoriented, Jason and Sarah are unnerved when their son, Sam (Regan Oey), begins seeing ghosts and violent deaths. Sarah (Jaime King) a stepmother of a young Chinese boy Sam, living in China, finally agrees to move out of their with her Chinese husband, Jason (Terry Chen) back to Vancouver, Canada for a funeral after he finds out that his dad had passed away. It is during then is when a troubled pass is exposed once the son becomes somewhat possessed.

Just terrible. Can't believe 40% of the people gave this a fresh rating. The acting is really bad, it's not the least bit scary and the story isn't interesting.

This movie starts out pretty good,with some effective creepy moments, but unfortunately devolves into a predictable and cliched story, where the acting becomes, well, just very lame. The young boy who plays the role of Sam is pretty good, but other than him, the rest just kind of muddle along. I should have guessed when I saw that Uwe Boul was one of the executice producers.
