Bill D The filming and story is generally realistic and being made soon after the war and in Europe, the tanks, equipment, bridges etc. are all genuine. Lots of dry humour, but for me the film missed the right tone; I found the background music often almost unbearable - annoyingly twee and light-hearted. - Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/28/25 Full Review Audience Member Excellent and poignant story of two Welsh Guards officers from basic training to the end of their war has natural peformances from the entire cast and some exciting battle scenes. Desmond Llewellyn appears as a soldier and Christopher Lee pops up in the background in a minor role. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Read all reviews
