In Hollywood, actor James Franco is throwing a party with a slew of celebrity pals. Among those in attendance are his buddies Jonah Hill, Seth Rogen, Jay Baruchel, Danny McBride and Craig Robinson. Suddenly, an apocalypse of biblical proportions erupts, causing untold carnage among Tinseltown's elite and trapping Franco's party in his home. As the world they knew disintegrates outside, cabin fever and dwindling supplies threaten to tear the six friends apart.

With comedic crudeness levels that hit all kinds of wrong and leave very few stones unturned, "This Is the End" will either be something you can sit back and love for its audacity and parody or absolutely loathe for its vanity and stupidity

It's the kind of movie that you're not in a hurry to see. Only when you can't think of what else to watch, and it just happens to be on your DVR. One time watch is good.

It had a good start and end, but the middle was horribly dull. The plot was lost and they kept repeating the same gags over and over again, like they are trying to pad the movie so it can be 90 minutes long. It would have been a decent watch if it was 60 minutes.

I’m sure Seth and his mates had fun making this but it’s a bit self indulgent. All the in jokes and laughing at yourself, if overdone just comes across as conceited. It’s almost ironic but that’s how it comes across. The general plot, which is weak gets lost amongst the overplayed self deprecation. Kinda just boring and not particularly funny in the end. The Emma Watson scene made me laugh though. Watched on Amazon Prime.
