c v Though sometimes the camerawork was nauseating, this film blurred the lines between reality and fiction seamlessly while scrutinizing U.S. institutions, including what separates protestors from activists - the root verbs themselves. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member It's like Manufacturing Consent, but you get to watch Dawson instead of Chomsky. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Passionless, lifeless, empty. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member An interesting story with strong chemistry between the leads, Crooker and Dawson. Recommended. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Own this movie for a few years before I watched it. Has some good ideas however it's poorly executed. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Although this film had it's sloppy properties (camerawork, dialogue etc.), I have to give it points for originality. It brought underground figures and ideas to collaborate in a full-feature film. It carried some significant messages regarding integrity, truth and civil disobedience. The casting and acting were okay, I just thought the rebels were a little lame. The bits with Immortal Technique are what really made it for me. Seeing one of my all-time favourite musicians in an acting role where he got to play himself and convey his own ideas was just fantastic. This film had it's rough patches, but it is definitely worth checking out. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

      J. R. Jones Chicago Reader The fusion of fiction and independent journalism adds to the complexity of a story that exposes the 'news' as a narrative cowritten by the government and the TV networks. Rated: 2.5/5 Jun 29, 2005 Full Review V.A. Musetto New York Post Marshall says he was inspired by the Haskell Wexler cult classic Medium Cool, filmed at the infamous 1968 Democratic convention in Chicago. He has a lot to learn before he'll be anywhere near Wexler. Rated: 1/4 Jun 29, 2005 Full Review Dennis Schwartz Dennis Schwartz Movie Reviews Its fiction tale is shrill, lifeless and uninteresting.
