It’s fresh, a new take on abuse and mental illness, it’s captivating from start to finish, it’s clever, well cast, well made and I highly recommend it to anyone!!! You’re nuts if it doesn’t get under your skin and it will keep you wondering until the last scene. I’d even say this will become a cult classic in years to come. Which idiots gave it a poor review. If you enjoy psychological thrillers or action movies with twists, this is for you. The acting is great: the lead actress is stunning and the supporting cast is convincing. While the plot isn’t necessarily the most original, it’s executed well enough that I was genuinely on the edge of my seat, constantly second-guessing what was real and what wasn’t. The cinematography and sound effects deserves special praise. The way the film is shot pulls you directly into Mia’s perspective, making you share her uncertainty and paranoia instead of simply watching it unfold from the outside. It creates a really immersive experience that elevates the story. Simone Ashley is absolutely fantastic in the lead role, carrying the emotional weight of the film with such a great a nuanced and compelling performance. Even when the story follows familiar beats, her performance and the atmospheric direction keep it engaging from beginning to end. I hope she’s cast in more movies of the genre.
