Uma linda e triste história baseada em fatos reais, lembrou-me muito o nacional em homenagem a Nice da Silveira, extremamente emocionante, em vários momentos nos faz chorar e sentir toda a empatia do mundo, não só pelos pacientes, como por toda a equipe, contagiada, apesar de seu tratamento baseado em algumas nuances fakes ter sido um pouco controversa acabamos por apoiar o 100% pela humanização do paciente e por atingir os fins, apesar dos meios não serem tão escrupulosos eticamente falando...

In the world of mental illness, we rarely look for wisdom—we only look for "cures". However dignity and community and seeking to understand the Other, was curative. It's a historical fact. What we would not expect, and runs counterintuitive to the "normals" is that Dr. Stone, could, and indeed did, learn from his patients. This movie is a spiritual allegory about desperate integrity, loyalty, redemption, and salvation coming directly from divine patien[ce].

This is a pretty decent film. Good character development, interesting scenes of early 1960s Michigan and an interesting and, apparently, true story. If you're interested in the history of psychiatry, I recommend it.
