Maxwell Bard (Emlyn Williams) has just died and gone to heaven. When he's granted one last wish, Bard chooses to watch over the events on Earth for one day. Just before he died, Bard gave each of his three closest friends (Shepperd Strudwick, Howard Da Silva, Robert Karnes) a letter detailing the affair he carried on with each of their wives. As Bard looks on, his friends struggle to deal with the implications of the letter, though it's easier for some than others.

09/26/2020 The acting was fine, the story was awful. It was supposed to be a comedy but it wasn't funny. A lot of bad behavior with no consequences. See more 02/12/2011 The production values in the movie are awful and it looks and sounds more like a 1930s movie than one from 1951, but it has a certain charm and some witty moments. Eve Arden stands out as Lucille McCabe. The last vignette with Eve Arden is the best. See more Read all reviews
