Three friends -- George (Laurence Harvey), Harris (Jimmy Edwards) and J (David Tomlinson) -- decide to escape from their women problems by going boating on the Thames River. With Oxford, England, as their destination, they set out for the trip of a lifetime. Their idyllic cruise soon becomes anything but when they encounter, among other problems, heavy rain and a sailing regatta. …isn’t likely to leave modern viewers rolling in the aisles, it’s bromance for a 50’s generation who dig a comic song and roar with laughter at bailing out a boat with pot and pans in your long-johns. But as a social history document, it’s quite revealing Go to Full Review
