While it is hard to fully judge the heart of Three Months, as it clearly is trying to be a needed step towards the destigmatization of those suffering from HIV, the execution is simply bad. Go to Full Review

Chris O Jan 19 Troye, again, proves he is a capable, studied actor. There are no false notes in this performance of a teen carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders. He is entirely natural in trying to come to grips with a possible HIV diagnosis that was or wasn't his fault. How is he going to convey this potentially grim news to those he's closest to, ever mindful of the possibility of rejection. Is his grandmother strong enough to bear this? What will his mother do? What about the best friend he's closest to. How long can he hide his situation and deflect their curiosity? The suspense comes naturally. I was in a similar situation to Caleb's once, so that probably helped. Didn't need the obligatory conflict with bff and grandma. Could be shorter. Captures the 2010s aesthetic pretty well, feels real. Troye Sivan is one of the most beautiful human beings. I enjoyed it.
