Drina W @RT49065329 1d I couldn't find a reason to be invested in the characters or plot. There just wasn't enough tp grab onto-in the limited text, storyline, and emotion. I also couldn't buy why the girlfriend wouldn't allow her serious boyfriend of two years to get closer to her son, in terms of this story. Since their relationship was apparently close and the film showed the intimacy and connection they had. There just wasn't the "why" with this particular character, so it seemed arbitrary. I really wanted to love this film when I saw the synopsis and setting. I left feeling like I just needed a lot more to care about what was happening and believe any of it. See more dave d @RT34924333 05/13/2020 I have a lot of problems with 'Three Peaks'. It's a short film stretched to feature length. Pet Peeve. I found a new pet peeve also. Movies in three languages with no subtitles. OK, I lied. Sometimes there were delayed English subtitles. I'm not joking. Perhaps this wasn't meant to be seen by an American audience. Wish I had received that memo yesterday. Visually and from a storytelling standpoint we have some meat, but it's either thoroughly overcooked or left raw. And that ending. What in the holy world of spicy mustard was that? Did I take hallucinogens? I want to meet the person who said 'Yes, this third act is perfect as is'. How about somebody take a pass or two at rewriting this could have been, but never will be psychological thriller Final Score: 1.7/10 (you'll be rooting for the Mountain!) See more 04/10/2018 A valiant attempt at a nuanced mother, new lover, child relationship. Beautifully acted. The mother's character is not sufficiently developed. The situation feels universal.
