sarkjoy b This film , is not about imagery. But about image poetry . you feel it . more than you see it. I fell in love with it ,for being so perfect in including so many topics all together in harmony and without forcing anything into the storyline .wich talking about it, there's none . more than just representing toughts, feelings and human realities somewhere else in this world. The start already puts you on your knees. with a young lover chanting his genuine love for his young wife. her smiling and beating him like a child. a sweet image of an innocent . first and only love of their lives . a life where they have nothing else than each other . where as cited "Their death will succumb by US bombs or by the talibans" . The desire of the young boy to be join the military and serve a higher goal in his life . and a dad rooted to the traditions ,uneducated like him and tearing him down to be and do like him working in the opium fields. and making decisions for his fate too . And an ending with a quite natural evolution of the things that never change or get better in Afghanistan , with the young boy in the spiral of heroin addiction and seeing his family with now two kids after months in rehab. this film is a fast travel of the soul trough someone else's life . give it a go . and you won't regret it . Still after 4 years, the #1 Documentary that was able to give me such an high amount of feelings Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/03/24 Full Review Mikoaj L Brudny, naturalistyczny świat Afganistanu został tutaj bardzo dobrze oddany, jednak kuleje sama historia, którą chcieli opowiedzieć twórcy Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/04/23 Full Review Audience Member Tão lindinho, simples, delicado, real, dolorido, trágico, singelo, apaixonante, real… Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review jona i A strong, unique documentary. Specific and troubled. A real life story that is heartbreaking yet universal. Though it is a documentary, the storytelling is incredibly well-structured. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member It starts a little slow but a great finish. Tells the tale of millions of afghans who were and are dealing with this menace perfectly. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/26/22 Full Review Audience Member Short but affecting documentary with a last act twist that makes you wish it were longer.
