Catherine B Apr 4 Yes, kind of cheesy, but it's Cinderella after all. I really liked the new take on the plot. Here you have the same Cinderella in the same distress with her evil Stepmother (who, I might add, gave a wickedly satisfying performance). Instead of a fairy godmother, this Cinderella takes advantage of the gifts from three magic acorns that gave her the strength to follow through with love and destiny. Because it was a new take, I have to admit that I was invested in the way the plot played out. Gorgeous scenery backdrop, and a strong female lead. Best film I've ever seen? No. But certainly a film I would show my grandchildren, especially my granddaughters. See more ellie h 10/31/2024 I really liked it for what it is! Sure, it’s a kids’ movie, so it’s a bit cheesy, but honestly, it’s my favorite Cinderella adaptation. The storyline is easier to get into, and the scenery is gorgeous.
