Audience Member This movie is really terrible. Rumored to be originally 2 separate movies that had to be combined due to budgeting issues, Thunder Ninja Kids is a straight up mess. It's long, and slow, with plenty of unexplained characters and story elements. It doesn't help that the acting is terrible and fight scenes badly choreographed. This isn't a bad movie that's so bad it's good, this is a straight up BAD movie. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Satan is seeking out a sacred sword that he can use to enslave the souls of mankind. The sword is awarded to the winner of a secret tournament that is held every so often. After the Master of the current protectors of the sword is murdered and the sword is taken away, the masterÂ’s son must learn from a new teacher and avenge his fatherÂ’s death. I know that sounds corny to begin with, but surprisingly that isnÂ’t all that is going on in this movie. Along with that story is one about a young girl who has been kidnapped and is being held for ransom. A UFO crashes on Earth and awakens a bunch of zombie kids who can only be seen when they want you to. And, for some reason only one zombie girl can walk, while all the other zombie kids must hop around. Why is this so? Maybe it has something to do with traditional storytelling. IÂ’m not sure. All I know is it can get really annoying seeing them hop around for long periods of time. Somehow these two stories get fused with each other. None of it really makes any sense, and most of the film is boiled down to childish humor. That and one female character getting slapped by just about everyone in the movie. If there was a record for the most abused character in any movie, this film might be right up there at the top of the list. The movie is cute at times, especially the youngest zombie boy who carries around a bottle. Although, the bottle is filled with blood. But I just couldnÂ’t get into this film like I thought I would. It has all the elements that make for a good B-Grade film, but the awkward compiling of these two zany stories just doesnÂ’t do anything for me. IÂ’ll give it some points for being weird. IÂ’ve seen a lot of strange films before, but none quite as bizarre as this one. Thunder Ninja Kids - The Hunt for the Devil Boxer is the third in this series of films, but I have little to no interest in seeking out the other films. But as for being pure cheese, this film is kind of worth checking out if you are into a MST3K-style film. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Read all reviews
