Valerie Anne Autostraddle Overall the movie was a cute, fun time that coordinates perfectly with its fellow horror comedies, with less gore and genuine scares than Bodies Bodies Bodies, but more gays and heart than its fraternal twin, Totally Killer. Nov 8, 2024 Full Review Ben Travis Empire Magazine Destined to be forgotten the minute it’s finished, Time Cut is a passable addition to the slash-up genre – acceptable Halloween fare for the fright-challenged, or anyone with a soft spot for the music of Hilary Duff. Rated: 3/5 Nov 6, 2024 Full Review Brian Tallerico RogerEbert.com There’s so little “fun” here, feeling as if everyone is merely fulfilling an obligation. Rated: 1/4 Nov 1, 2024 Full Review Jeffrey Lyles Lyles' Movie Files This is a premise that should result in a fun, culture clash style with the hero having to go old school to save a loved one. This underwhelming effort probably needed a bit more time fine-tuning the script and embracing the genre. Rated: 4/10 Dec 22, 2024 Full Review Alejandro Turdó Hoy Sale Cine A soulless attempt to capitalize in the recently successful(ish) time traveling slasher subgenre that seems to justify its existence only to fill empty an space in some streaming library, doomed to be forgotten in the near future. Dec 20, 2024 Full Review Trace Thurman Horror Queers Podcast An mess of film that's as inoffensive as it is confused, with questionable period details attempting to make up for a half-baked screenplay. Felina * Honestly, I was a pretty good movie up until the end... they ended it with way too many plot holes! They said that if Lucy saves Summer she would never have been born. But when she goes back to the future she still some how exists but her parents don't even know who she is... so she goes back to the past and lives there. How is she still existing if she doesn't even have any parents ? Her parents are apparently not even together! So she's an ophan with literally no biological parents? I don't understand... Anyways, when she goes back to the past, she tells the dude that she killed the slasher which was himself from the future and he's like, ok awesome, and then they end up being best friends. That was a little bit weird to me... But, also, why does the slasher not kill the bully, Ethan for throwing him in water if that was part of his problem with his life?? Idk, the whole ending was just weird and confusing to me... fun movie, but too many questions. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 04/29/25 Full Review Brian O For a movie called “Time Cut,” the pacing is terrible. As far as the dialogue and acting goes, imagine someone, in a very monotone voice, saying, “Yeah… so I went over there, and did this one thing. Then I did that other thing because I just had to, you know?” That’s how it felt. Now, picture something that's supposed to be a very dramatic moment: "How could you do that?" 😐 ... ... ... ... 😐 "I'm sorry." The next time you're bored, and you let out a sigh, think of this movie; that's exactly what just came out of your mouth. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 04/28/25 Full Review Audience Member The actors did an amazing job but the story wasnt well written. It was made clear Lucy wouldn’t be born if she saved her sister but somehow in the end she was created miraculously - disappointing really. Then the killer who is obviously 3 times the size of Quin is revealed to be the killer goes back and kills everyone but Ethan the guy who threw him in the water… if that happened why didn’t he drown? Rated 2 out of 5 stars 04/11/25 Full Review Random M It was a good movie with a small twist. Spoilers. It’s a girl that goes back in time when she finds the Time Machine if you call it that and goes back 11 years to stop a killer from her time line. When she does that she saves her sister and few other but changes the future. So when she save the day she decides to go back and live in the past. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 04/04/25 Full Review Michael C Great acting by all the females in the movie! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/25 Full Review Lee L This movie was amazing!
