Mark Kermode Kermode & Mayo's Film Review Snappy, fast-paced action set-pieces. I kind of enjoyed it, not least because it has a comic book sensibility to it. May 11, 2020 Full Review Jonathan Romney Screen International A humourless and grindingly uninspired crime-don't-pay action thriller. Feb 22, 2020 Full Review Deborah Young The Hollywood Reporter A tour-de-force exercise in non-stop tension. Feb 22, 2020 Full Review Matt McCracken In Review Online [The film] is as hopelessly out of its depth as its characters, lacking the creativity to mimic the ambitions its artistic coordinates should inspire. Jun 5, 2021 Full Review James Mudge easternKicks.com With gorgeous visuals and mixing genre thrills with an indie sensibility, though the protagonists are weak, the film has a top villain and truly flies when it hits its stride Rated: 4/5 Oct 21, 2020 Full Review Fausto Ponce Proceso Ends up being just an entertaining film. Woojun N This is a solid movie that I watched in Netflix, the reason why I loved this movie is that they kept a good intense moments. I enjoyed the lightings that made it intense and the gun shots sounded realistic where other movies will use low quality machine gun sound effects. There is some mysteries that formed as this movie was fast paced, I belive this might have been the strategies to make the audience wonder during or after the movie. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/25/25 Full Review Loltokyou Y The beginning was really good but didn't liked the evolution. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 08/28/23 Full Review C H Exceptionally dark, emotional and stylish. A must watch for those in need of a great thriller. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/21/23 Full Review Leonard E Pretty good, idk why it got bad reviews maybe people didnt like the way it ended, i thought it was fairly entertaining. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/20/22 Full Review aqsw d Overall entertaining...BUT... the problem is "reality". The young dudes made SO many mistakes - they could have easily gotten away - biggest mistake was having the insider friend. And what was really annoying - the young dudes would be in really rough situations in which they needed to "get out of there!!!" quickly, and they would just wait around for so long talking to each other and not go!!!!!! And in the end when Han gets shot to pieces, falls into the ocean? and then somehow survives??? really??? That would be called "not" realistic. Again - so many mistakes - those guys who shot Han simply had to aim a little higher, all at once - done! The story could have been SO much better - but alas - story and execution was very mediocre which was disappointing. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Time To Hunt is allegedly a dystopian thriller, but you would be hard pressed to see any evidence of that. Yes, things look a bit grim, and there's protests scattered throughout, but nothing to suggest anything truly repressive. It's more of a cat and mouse shoot ‘em up. At almost 2 and a quarter hours the film is grossly overextended, and as things carry on they become increasingly repetitive and monotonous. The film could have used some levity as things went on, but it becomes so maudlin and so depressing that just getting to the credits becomes a slog. The performances were great, the shootouts exciting, and there's a sense that the director didn't want to hold back. They wanted to show the dark side of life, the bloody reality of being in such a perilous situation. Han, the hitman sent to take the thieves out, poses a significant threat, even if he does often move like a Terminator at half speed. It seems like there will be a sequel, considering how obviously it's set up at the conclusion, but considering how much emotional investment in had in the characters when this one come to an end, its very unlikely that I'll ever get round to seeing it.
