It’s not a must-see, but I think this movie is criminally underrated on this site. It was well-acted and maintained my attention for most of the film (it starts to get a bit sluggish towards the end.) Also seems to be some commentary on Francoism in Spain that went over some people’s heads. Worth a watch if you have some time to kill.

A mensagem inicial de que crianças mal educadas, mesmo que usando uma religião para isso, causam transtornos é interessante, mas não foi para frente no roteiro que é confuso, não se centra em nenhum detalhe, as personagens são rasas. Um pai figurante, uma mãe que não sei bem o que ela queria da vida, escolheu adotar as crianças, mesmo o pai dizendo que não, depois não queria mais, depois queria engravidar, depois queria separar, depois não queria cuidar mais do filho, nossa que cansaço. Devia ter morrido no fim. O que tem de bom? A atuação das crianças, que mesmo caracterizadas de formas medonhas, conseguem manter uma atuação interessante só com expressões corporais.
