I would like the time I spent watching half of this film back. What a mess. It saddens me to admit that DeNero is a one trick pony and if he cant play the same character he always plays the performance suffers. I thought Eastwood and Arnezeder were a good match on camera but the script just sucked.

Tin Soldier (2025) is a spectacle masterpiece, but it’s not a clean one — and that’s the point. The film is a mess, cryptic and jagged, carrying the logic of a fairy tale told through the haze of a dream. Dreams are never neat; they’re fragmented, contradictory, unsettling. Here, that dreamlike quality collides with the raw weight of PTSD, giving the film a pulse that’s both chaotic and painfully human. Explosions and spectacle hit hard, but so do the silences — the broken memories, the fractured truths, the uneasy shifts between reality and nightmare. It’s an epic that doesn’t just dazzle the eyes; it claws at the mind. A strange, bruised, unforgettable achievement that dares to embrace beauty in disorder.
