Kam T @Kam77 1d Although it was a little bit slow getting started and it definitely played up every Appalachian stereotype there is, it was a feel good movie that emphasized the truly important things at Christmas time. It was an I'm laughing with you and not at you kind of movie and especially midway through I was laughing quite a bit particularly at the antics of Barkley Farkley the Appalachian cousin three times removed. I should state here that I have lived in the South for almost 14 years now and while there is so much more to Southerners than the stereotypes, they would be the first to acknowledge that most of the stereotypes have an element of truth behind them. I can't wait to show this next year to my granddaughter as I know that she will get a kick out of it. Not as good as Home Alone, A Christmas Story or The Best Christmas Pageant Ever but definitely good enough to put on the annual Christmas movie rotation list.
