chitown2bayarea Great mini series about a lesbian girl that moves to London to follow the girl she loves. Her adventure leads her through many ups and downs, uncovering the underworld of lesbian culture in late 1800's England. The acting, costumes, and music are excellent and you will definitely fall in love with Jodhi Mays character, Florence. She will sweep you off your feet with her beauty and innocence. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/07/23 Full Review Audience Member Entertaining coming-of-age tale Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Loved the movie. The victorian time, sweets but funny scenes. nice historical drama. Where there is romance between two women The only thing why i gave it a four was because the sexscenes were not that convincing, little fake but still great. Nancy Banks-Smith Guardian Rachael Stirling's performance is just fine. A little gruff and common in her speech, very young, very astonished and breathless with adoration. Feb 26, 2020 Full Review John Leonard New York Magazine/Vulture All this, wonderfully, is much more like an MGM musical than like The Well of Loneliness. Jan 30, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews
