Critics Consensus

Great visuals, but the story feels like a cut-and-paste job of other sci-fi movies.

Sarah G Tragically under-rated movie. Don Bluth at his best. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/16/25 Full Review Liam D The last film directed by the legendary Don Bluth. It has; an amazing mixture of CGI and Hand Drawn Animation, a stellar voice cast and a fantastic opening but it’s so generic and feels like it’s multiple science fiction films Rated 2 out of 5 stars 12/21/24 Full Review Audience Member The movie was boring and extremely predictable. Predictable stories aren’t bad if the characters are well rounded but they aren’t sadly. All the characters are worse versions of other great sci-fi characters. They’re very shallow and I don’t remember the names for most of them. The movie lacked tension and I lost interest before it reached the midway point. Visuals and voice acting were okay. The only scene I found interesting was the ice glacier scenes. It was creative but other than that the movie was blander than a stale biscuit. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 06/06/24 Full Review Dan R A great cast and awesome story, animation was ahead of its time. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 05/08/24 Full Review Mark C Titan A.E. is simply one of my favorite movies. There isn't another movie like it with it's hybrid of CGI and Cell Animation. It's one of those rare gems that appears at the end of one technology and the begining of another. It's got a great soundtrack and it's a classic story of humanity struggling against all odds to survive. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/28/24 Full Review james o Childhood Favorite of mine, the animation is outdated today but I remember when this movie set the animation bar. Even the parents that would watch couldnt believe how different it was from traditional animation movies. Deserves better ratings Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/15/24 Full Review Read all reviews
