Critics Consensus

A mostly unqualified triumph for James Cameron, who offers a dizzying blend of spectacular visuals and old-fashioned melodrama.

Alice My favorite movie of all time. Timeless classic that will never be forgotten. Never stop showing this on the big screen! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/21/25 Full Review Alfredo Best movie of all time. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/26/24 Full Review kay c still best on the big screen, after all these years. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/28/24 Full Review Teng L Even after 28 years since I first watch it, the movie is still legendary! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/15/25 Full Review Conrad C The grand scale and decadence of the Titantic rubs on off the film, giving it a sense of grandeur. It elevates it from a romance to an event film, a historical movie in both senses of the word. The sinking of the Titantic is impressive, but the ship is even more impressive when seen whole throughout the movie. Cameron makes sure to let us see into lots of nooks and crannies, letting us feel as if we're getting to know the ship as well as the characters. DiCaprio steals the show over Winslet, but mostly because he was given a more likeable character to work with. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 06/09/25 Full Review Kenzie B James Cameron’s masterpiece! Winslet & DiCaprios beautiful tragic love story. Makes me cry every time! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/07/25 Full Review Read all reviews
