When World War II breaks out, Murphy wants to enlist, but looks too young and small to make a good fighter. Nevertheless admitted as an infantryman by the Army, Murphy proves a courageous soldier. The film, based on Murphy's life, reenacts his many battles, including the ultimate feat that earned him a Congressional Medal of Honor: single-handedly turning back a German attack.

Murphy is fine playing himself, although the way in which he purses his lips and stares steely-eyed at the enemy following each death of a friend reminds me of Bill Bixby's David Banner intoning, "Don't make me angry. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry."

A first person clip show with terrible jokes and wooden acting. It's a Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer with Gentle Ben production. It has heart, but mostly, it's bad.

Given the film is based on a true story and the main actor is the soldier in questions we should be pretty sure of the authenticity of the scenes. Its a really good film, i started to wonder why he won so many medals but this becomes pretty clear the further you get into the film. Great.
