Tim Grierson Screen International Marked by strong, reserved performances -- and deeply compassionate to its soulsick characters -- this quietly absorbing drama has secrets in store, each of them revealed with uncommon elegance. Aug 19, 2024 Full Review Andrew Fukui Geek Vibes Nation The film serves as a masterclass in breathing new life into a story that audiences have heard so many times before. Rated: 8/10 Jul 17, 2025 Full Review Aaron Neuwirth We Live Entertainment The Oregon wilderness adds the right kind of atmosphere to the proceedings, with the natural world feeling like an appropriate extension of the emotions at play. Feb 14, 2025 Full Review Douglas Davidson Elements of Madness Though Taylor’s approach isn’t graphic in the slightest, it is no less full of dread and horror as time moves forward and backward while it unfurls a mystery of a most upsetting trauma and profound deception. Rated: 4/5 Feb 10, 2025 Full Review Paul Emmanuel Enicola The Movie Buff A striking, atmospheric film about people trying to claw their way out of the past, about the kind of wounds that don’t heal easily. Rated: B Feb 8, 2025 Full Review Jennie Kermode Eye for Film Mostly shot at close quarters, inside the Woodsman’s cabin or car or amid the trees, the film is heavy with shadows and mist and chill air.
