Monsol E Really fun! Plot's simple, but the characters are likeable, and some of the ideas were neat. I really liked how Gadge's curiosity was always encouraged, and Tobor's a good bot. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/04/23 Full Review Audience Member They just don't use scantily clad women on movie posters these days do they Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member I was actually surprised by how much I liked this, childrens b-sci-fi Solid story, pretty clever and highly entertaining. The acting is less than spectacualr but thats to be expected given what this is. A little too corny at times, but all in all an easy movie to sit through and pretty good times. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member This is one of those movies which makes robots seem less scary and more like friends. I usually don't like that, but I think this movie is fun anyway. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member I know, I know. This is a silly kids film. But then, I was only a kid when I first saw this movie and fell in love with it. In fact, this is the film that birthed my life long love of robots. Not only was Tobor the coolest robot I had seen up to that time (I did not see Robby, the robot in "Forbidden Planet, until a couple years later), he was also the first robot I had ever seen that was the good guy. So what if the plot is a bit contrived, this is still a fun film. Especially if you happen to be a young boy (of five or six) back in the early sixties when I first saw it on TV. If you get a kick out of robots, precocious kids, evil enemy agents, and other B-Movies icons, give this one a chance. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Robots are cool, I think it would be good to use them in space programs. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Read all reviews
