Alyx Vesey Bitch Media It is a well-intended, complicated film we should be debating and encouraging similar projects in production. Welcome to the canon. Jan 7, 2021 Full Review Ann Hornaday Washington Post Toe to Toe deserves credit for delving into the rich dynamics of interracial friendship and teenaged social tectonics. And it features some terrific acting. Rated: 2.5/4 Apr 2, 2010 Full Review Robert Abele Los Angeles Times For good stretches, Toe to Toe has an engaging frankness about youthful liberty as both a weighty armor and a dangerously alluring escape hatch. Rated: 3/5 Mar 12, 2010 Full Review Brian Orndorf BrianOrndorf.com A demented, amateurish after school special, Toe to Toe is only useful as a means to observe a first-rate actress in the making. The rest is pure rubbish, delivered with all the subtlety of an air horn. Rated: D- Feb 25, 2010 Full Review Marshall Fine Hollywood & Fine Toe to Toe features two exceptionally layered performances at its center, as well as ideas that don't sort themselves out in neat and easily summarized fashion. Feb 25, 2010 Full Review Kam Williams NewsBlaze Hell hath no fury like a sister scorned, especially for a wigger! Rated: 4/4 Feb 23, 2010 Full Review Read all reviews

Evan T The acting was really good in this film. I wish they could have showed the main character in college at the end. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/05/23 Full Review Audience Member Excellent coming of age of movie. I feel about twenty five years too old watching this. LOL. But I enjoyed it. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member I loved this movie, watched it tonight. And, I will watch it again ! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member i love this movie <3 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Emily Abt's study of the lifestyles of two contrasting high school girls doesn't always ring true, but deserves an A for effort. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member When reading the synopsis of this movie, I assumed it was going to be a rehashing of recent movies with a hard working black student trying to fit in, and over privileged white student who squanders their opportunities, how they become friends and learn about each other...and on the surface it kinda is that. But after watching the movie it goes much deeper into the spirits that drive these two girls to do what they do. True Tosha is a hardworking scholarship student at a prep school, but she is also pushed and driven by an overbearing grandmother, who treats her other siblings like trash. And Jessie is a rich kid, but she is essentially she's a latch key kid, because her mother is always overseas. There are times in this movie when you smile, cringe, and cheer... and those are usually good ingredients to a good movie. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews
