I had no idea going in what this was about or whether I would like it. I loved it! I was reminded of the times I went to the Arcade on the Santa Monica Pier and the restaurant at the end of Sunset Boulevard and PCH where they had two Lady PacMan tables in the 80's. Ms PacMan was my favorite and you could sit there playing while you waited for your table. I had no idea there had been a resurgence of Arcade gaming in these new settings. It was especially interesting to view the various businesses with interviews of the owners, staff and customers. You have to hand it to these entrepreneurs who have created a whole new spin on gaming. One can play video games on the computer but being physically in a setting with other players brings a whole new emotion to the games. It makes me think of the difference of viewing a film on your computer or watching it in a movie theatre with other audience members, making a huge difference in the experience. This doc is well worth a look.

This feature doc focuses on the rebirth of arcade bars -- pinball, Space Invaders, Packman, and more. You will learn about legend Billy Mitchell, champion gamer, and the remarkable community of arcade players who decide to come together as a community to share their mutual love for games. This well-made doc focuses on the resurgence of the gaming community as a communal experience. Vector, Reboot, Glitch, and Lowry Parcade are just a few of the arcade bars featured. We learn about their struggles, from inception, through Covid lockdown nightmares, and to the aftermath which includes Comicon. I love when I learn something new from a documentary. I am not a gamer myself, but appreciate the passion of folks who are. Check this out - you will not be disappointed.

Perfect depiction of the struggles of the arcade during Covid times. Excellent selection of owners to represent the industry, and was amazing to follow their journey through the unknown. Highly recommend for everyone that loves the arcade scene!
