Jeannette Catsoulis New York Times Though speckled here and there with uneasy comedy, "Toll Booth" is a psychological pressure cooker that could blow its lid at any moment. Rated: 3/5 Jan 11, 2012 Full Review Glenn Heath Jr. Slant Magazine Both as a character study and modern-day parable, Toll Booth sneaks up on you with its subtle use of repeating motifs and audible cues. Rated: 3/4 Jan 10, 2012 Full Review Boyd van Hoeij Variety Pic beautifully exteriorizes Kenan's locked-up fears and agonies. Dec 1, 2011 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member After "Kelebekler" I had very high expectations from the director Tolga Karacelik. However this movie was much slower and dramatic as hell. It is strong but boring. Not worth my time. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member The screenplay could have been enriched by some additons for his lose of his mother, thus this would have emphasized the psychological smokescreen of both the guy and his father. Kenan is always criticized by his father but why? Did he play a role of dying of his mother? Answer is no, so his father's negative attitude against Kenan is not very well based. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member A Turkish drama that definitely had it's moments, but in between those moments were prolonged periods of boredom. Given the subject matter perhaps that was what the filmmakers were going for, but I didn't want to go there with them. Fine performances all around. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member A very buttoned down man (nicknamed "robot" by one of his co-workers) begins to, not unbutton, but unravel as his desperate need for approval and acceptance lead him into a life half real and half fantasy with heartbreaking results. Beautiful music, as well. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member An uptight unmarried guy at a going nowhere job as highway toll clerk finds himself in verge of a total mental breakdown.
