In this new film, Jack Ryan is reluctantly thrust back into the world of espionage when an international covert mission unravels a deadly conspiracy, forcing him to confront a rogue black-ops unit, and the clock is ticking. Operating in real time with lives on the line and the threat escalating at every turn, Jack reunites with battle-tested CIA operative Mike November (Michael Kelly) and former CIA boss James Greer (Wendell Pierce), their combined experience the only edge they have against an enemy who knows their every move. Backed by an unlikely new partner -- razor-sharp MI6 officer Emma Marlowe (Sienna Miller) -- Jack and the team navigate a treacherous web of betrayal, facing a past they thought was long put to rest -- making this the most personal, high-stakes mission any of them have ever faced.

Krasinski executive produced and co-wrote the screenplay but doesn’t seem to have been very interested in character development or meaningful dialogue. Go to Full Review

[Krasinski] makes you care whether Ryan can get out of pickle after pickle, enough to make you wish there will be another Ryan standalone film in the future. Go to Full Review

John Krasinski can do anything, except turn the livewire CIA operative he played for four TV seasons into something other than a pale shadow of his former self trying to pass muster in an ill-conceived two-hour movie. Go to Full Review

Aside from a quick blast of Belinda Carlisle’s 1980s banger Heaven Is A Place On Earth on the soundtrack, and a visit to RAF Abingdon in Oxfordshire, there really isn’t much to lift the spirits here. Go to Full Review

'Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan: Covert War' displays the natural effectiveness of the CIA agent's stories, although without the substance that the previous films had. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Cenas C @goodq98 2h Do you like ads? Do you like bad dialogue? Do you like tech scenes that make no sense? Do you like a storyline that revolves around finding a stupid server in a stupid under construction tower in midtown Dubai where a stupid terrorist cell holds profile pictures of their operatives? Do you want to see the Damac logo (Dubai developer that probably paid for the film) for half of the runtime of the movie? Then strap in! This waste of time movie is for you! See more Christopher C @RT11024995 3h This was so bad I had to write my first review. Couldn't even get halfway through it. Terrible script, horrible camera cuts, illogical movie. John should stick to silent films. See more Jerod S @jeroduptown 4h Kinda weird for things to come down to a server in an unfinished building being the end of the world. Decent action - but development and tension were lacking. See more Chris N @RT48302303 8h I don't understand all the hate for this movie, it was a perfectly enjoyable action thriller which kept up a decent pace throughout. I liked it. See more andrew S @RT25756380 10h Whilst the series was great to watch, this movie was just 'meh'. The plot was terrible, uninspiring, unengaging. The female MI6 agent bringing nothing to the storyline. Mikes 'backdoor' action towards the end of the movie was laughable. The whole thing was weak, such a disappointment. See more Jan H @BobSacamano 11h Because the script demands it, a server containing top-secret information is sitting in an unfinished construction site and apparently can neither be transported, deleted, nor shut down? So it has to be defended with armed force. Yeah, sounds logical. And seriously: what the hell even is ‘Starling’? I love Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan, but this movie honestly leaves me completely baffled.
