The story is pretty dumb and clearly cut down from the size of a series to a movie, the acting is disinterested and somehow funny; Clancy stuff needs to be smarter and more grandiose to work

I swear Tom Clancy used to write good books, but this movie makes me wonder if I just thought a boring movie must be a good movie. Either way this movie is non-sensical and makes you wonder how on Earth Jack Ryan got promoted. Even the one Ben Afleck did is better than this thing. Don’t watch. I can’t even think of a scenario where you might think there’s a good reason to watch it.
