Collin N An absolute masterpiece of a movie. The kids loved it, and the movie kept the adults entertained throughout. An absolute must-see movie, definitely in my top 3 favorites. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/01/23 Full Review Audience Member The funniest character is Tom Thumb himself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review steve d The story isn't the least bit entertaining. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member I've seen in many times. It came out when I was a young boy. It is quaint with a sweet story full of morals, with vintage special effects. Take it for what it is. At that time it was state of the art. Please don't compare the effects to Star Wars. It was a different era. Hopefully your children aren't too jaded to be entertained by this children's classic. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member The stop motion will be enjoyed by the kids though there is nothing exceptional about it. The musical numbers are forgettable except for the one without words. If you come looking for a Peter Sellers movie you will be disappointed as he has a secondary part and only mumbles about a half dozen words. The main attraction along with the stop motion is Rus Tamblen's creative acrobatics and dancing; without it the movie would be very boring. An extra plus is that it's in color. Alan Young is a surprisingly good singer (I assume it's not dubbed) and June Thornburn is easy on the eyes. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Charming MGM musical fantasy with lively songs by Peggy Lee and Sonny Burke and Oscar-winning special effects by George Pal (who also directed); Russ Tamblyn shows off his acrobatic skills in the title role, and Terry-Thomas and Peter Sellers provide slapstick comedy relief.
